A Brioche burger bun is made from a soft bread dough, which boasts lovely texture and flavour,  enriched with milk, eggs and butter.

Servings:         7 x 160g Buns

Recipe Time: Total time 45mins Plus 1 hour proving time

Ingredients for Homemade Brioche Burger Bun Recipe -


500g Plain Flour
10g Easy Bake Yeast
40g Sugar
5g Salt
3 Medium Eggs
150ml Tepid Whole Milk
125g Butter (room temp)
Oil For Brushing
Foil for Rings
Eggwash


Steps/Directions/Method to make brioche burger buns are as follow:



Step 1: Whisk the dry ingredients

In one bowl, add the flour, yeast, sugar and salt and mix well

Step 2: Adding the wet ingredients

Add the eggs and milk, and mix using the dough hook

Do this until the wet and dry ingredients are all incorporated into the dry ingredients.

Step 3: Adding the Butter

Add the butter, which should be at room temperature, and continue to mix with the

Dough hook, until incorporated

TIp: Room temperature butter blends in easier to the dough mix.

Step 4: Proving the Dough

Turn out dough into the table and fold a few times, then place into a bowl, cover and leave to prove at room temperature until doubled in size.

Step 5 : Proving Dough 2nd time

Knock out the air from the dough and fold a few times, divide into desired size portions, ball up, shape and place into oiled rings. Leave to prove until doubled in size.

Step 6: Egg washing the buns

Beat one egg together and brush the buns, using a pastry brush.

Step 7 : Baking the Buns

Bake approx 17 mins in a Preheated oven 190c Fan or 210c Gas oven.

Turn out onto wire rack  and leave to cool. Cut into halves, Toast buns and use with your favourite

Burger recipe. Enjoy

Note/Special Tip: Mixing the dry ingredients well, in this way, gives a better finish to your Brioche.
