Servings: 6 Satay skewers

Recipe Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients for Homemade Chicken Satay Recipe -

25g Chopped Ginger
4 Cloves Garlic
25g Red Chilli
75g Peanuts
Salt And Pepper
Half Lime Juice
3og Coriander
2 Tbsp Soya Sauce
500g Chicken Breast Cubes


Step 1: Making the satay marination
Add the ALL ingredients into the pestle & mortar, except for chicken.
Blend the ingredients to form a paste, using the pestle.


Step2 : Marinating the chicken

Add the chicken to the Satay paste, and gently mix until chicken is nicely coated.
TIP: Leave in fridge overnight (Preferably)

Step 3: Skewering the chicken
Carefully push the chicken cubes onto the skewers
TIP: Push the skewer into the chicken using the long end of the chicken, to avoid falling off skewer.

Step 4: Cooking the satay
Place the skewers onto a hot skillet, turning frequently. Approx 12 minutes

TIP: Soak the wooden skewers overnight or for 30 minutes, to avoid them burning.
